About Us
Belmont Housing Authority provides safe, affordable, and well-maintained housing for very low-income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in the City of Belmont.
Our mission is to ensure decent, sanitary housing conditions while managing resources efficiently and promoting personal, economic, and social mobility so families can transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.
We are governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners, appointed by the Mayor of Belmont, which meets quarterly to set policies and regulations in line with our mission and state law. By statute (G.S. 157, 14-234), commissioners may not serve as city officials.
Working together with staff and community partners, the Board strives to ensure every person has a safe place to call home and the support they need to thrive.
